Sunny Side features some big, bold sunflowers in all their sunny glory, set on a really pretty ombré green background! There are bits of hot pink, blue and purple underpainting peeking out in a few spots, and the addition of some pinky touches on the sunflowers add some interest to the shading.
My hope is that this little mini painting will always serve as a big reminder to look on the bright side...to focus on the joys in life, rather than dwell on the struggles and frustrations. Of course, those will come and require our attention, but they don't have to be our full-time focus!
Reminds me of the verse in Philippians 4:8. I love the way the Good News Translation puts it.....
"In conclusion, my friends, fill your minds with those things that are good and that deserve praise: things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely and honorable."
