The purple, magenta and amethyst tones in this painting just feel so regal....so royal. Hence, the name Splendor and Majesty! The name is also a reminder of the verse in Psalm 104:1 that says, "Praise the Lord, my soul. Lord my God, you are very great; you are clothed with splendor and majesty."
I hope this bouquet is always a reminder of the Lord and His power and might, but also of His unimaginable beauty!
The grape hyacinth blooms throughout this painting, were a new flower for me to paint, and I love the sweet touch they bring to this big, bold bouquet.
