Rosy Outlook features a pretty pink climbing rose that looks like it's about ready to climb right off the top of the canvas! The roses are painted in shades of magenta with red shading and they're set on a lovely gradient background that changes from pink to light blue all the way down to a deep, rich blue. Accents of yellow are nestled in amongst the lush blooms and variegated leaves.
Rosy Outlook was painted as part of my Flower of the Week Series, which allows me to really study one particular flower variety -- in this case, the rose -- and paint it multiple times and in multiple ways throughout the week.
