Bountiful Blessings features a variety of vessels -- a pitcher, pedestal vase, two vintage blue jars and a vintage ice cream bucket -- each filled with a bouquet of its own! The plethora of flowers includes, tulips, roses, zinnias, a dahlia, a sunflower and more.
This painting with all its vessels reminds me of our cutting garden! Once it starts blooming, we go through our entire stash of jars that we've saved over the winter, filling each one so we can share those flowers with others! It's so much fun! The more we give, the more the Lord blesses us with, so we can give some more! Highly recommend trying it!!
As I was pondering a name for this piece, I was also reminded of the Bible story of the widow and her two sons. They were in debt and dirt poor and the Lord provided for them in a miraculous way by stretching their tiny jar of olive oil to fill every jar or vessel they could borrow from their neighbors!! Once all those jars were full, Elisha told her to sell the oil to pay off their debts and there would still be enough for her and her two boys to live off of!
The Lord always provides.....sometimes not in the way we might hope for or expect, and yet He is always faithful to meet our needs. And not only that, but He usually does it in bountiful ways! I hope this painting serves as a reminder of that!
