Goodness, this painting was a joy to create!! Firstly, the flowers were just such fun to paint, set against the dark navy background, but then came the challenge of the vase!
Painted to resemble antique hobnail milk glass from years gone by, it was a fun challenge to capture the texture and dimension of the hobnail with paint! I pulled out one of our own vintage hobnail milk glass flower pots, to serve as my inspiration for the hobnail details!
The flowers feature beautifully rich magenta tones with some accents in red thrown in for some color interest, and the variety of greens on the foliage add some contrast.

Painted on 1-1/2" deep edge, gallery profile canvas. Edges are fully painted so framing isn't necessary.
Painting is signed in gold on front as well as signed and dated on the back.
